Centralised resource allocation using Lexicographic Goal Programming. Application to the Spanish public university system

This paper deals with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) in centralised settings which the operating units belong to same organisation. In such a scenario, global system-wide perspective may be adopted as regards resource allocation and target setting. this paper, new Lexicographic Goal Programming (lexGP) approach is proposed using three priority levels: aggregated input consumption output production goals; goals of individual units; technical efficiency computed targets. It assumed that for overall organisation are established by Central Decision-Maker (CDM) they consistent those units. The has been applied Spanish public university system, comprising 47 institutions.
